The Franklin County Suicide Prevention Coalition (FCSPC) envisions an informed and responsive community that actively works to prevent suicide and to bring hope and support to those affected by suicide. Achieving this vision is impossible without the community members throughout our county who volunteer their time to support this work.

Suicide Prevention Hotline

Volunteers are the Heart of North Central Mental Health Services’ Suicide Prevention Services Program. All volunteers receive extensive training to staff the hotline, followed by ongoing supervisory support. Volunteers come from a variety of backgrounds and experiences, but are united by a common commitment to prevent the tragedy of suicide and to improve the quality of life for people who are in distress. For more information on volunteering, call (614) 299-6600 ext. 2073 or email sps@ncmhs.org.

Education and Awareness Speakers

The provision of suicide awareness and prevention presentations is a crucial part of empowering individuals and groups throughout our county to prevent suicide. Schools, youth groups, civic organizations, and other groups seek presentations on an ongoing basis and North Central Mental Health Services’ trains volunteers for this role. For more information, call (614) 299-6600 ext. 2073 or email sps@ncmhs.org.
